FINANCIAL REPORT

To the Parishioners and School Families of Saints Felicitas and Perpetua,

We wish to extend our thanks to all who have contributed to our parish and school this past year. Your support gives testimony to your faith in God, your gratitude for God’s blessings, and your willingness to express your faith in action.

Enclosed is a five year summary of results. With your help and the hard work and dedication of our parish and school faculty and staff, we have made significant progress:

• Even in the face of the greatest financial stress in memory, our regular church income increased by $20,138. For this we are most grateful. Unfortunately, our regular church expenses increased by $27,120. Most of the increase is related to things beyond our control: payroll related benefits, insurance and energy. For this reason, our church deficit increased to $32,352 for the year.

• Our school has achieved a balanced budget the last three years and we anticipate a balanced budget this year as well.

• We have raised over $118,000 to make desperately needed capital improvements and repairs during this past year. As responsible stewards of the facilities we have been given from past generations, we continue to make necessary repairs and improvements to extend their useful lives so that we can hand them on to future generations.

• We continue to grow in our sacramental moments: Baptisms, First Holy Communions, Confirmations and Weddings. Our local community continues to grow!

A CHALLENGE

If each participating family could, on average, increase their weekly contribution by just a little bit ($7.00), we would be able to eliminate our deficit. Those who are able are encouraged to adjust their weekly contribution slightly more so that we will be able to withstand future cost increases.

As we thank you for your support, we also encourage you to prayerfully consider your level of support to the Sunday collection. This collection is essential for our life as a parish.
