Conversion: Following the Call of Christ
Tuesday Nights at 7:00 pm - April 16 through May 28
(no class May 7 - May Crowning Celebration)
Join us as we explore the invitation of Jesus to Change of Heart and Conversion as we examine the stories of six figures from the Bible who changed in response to God's call: (1) Bartimaeus (Mk 10:46-52), (2) the Rich Young Man (Mk 10:17-22), (3) The Calling of Matthew (Mt 9:9-13), (4) Jonah (chapters 1-4), (5) the Woman at the Well (Jn 4:4-42) and (6) the Journey of the Magi (Mt 2:1-12).
By exploring these stories, we will come to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of conversion in our own life: how to discern God's call to us, how to overcome the obstacles we put up to answering the call, and the fruit of saying "yes" to God.
We will use Fr. Robert Barron's DVD series and combine it with scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, discussion questions and sharing.
