Mini-Series on the Mass
In order to embrace a greater understanding of the Eucharistic Celebration, we are offering a two part mini-series on the Mass:
- Tuesday, April 28 @ 7:00 PM – Church Tour & Overview of Liturgy
- Wednesday, April 29 @ 7:00 PM – Video Presentation & Discussion on the Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist featuring Fr. J-Glenn Murray, S.J.
As Vatican II reminds us, the Eucharist is the “source and summit of the Christian Life.” “Every liturgical celebration, because it is an action of Christ the priest and of His Body which is the Church, is a sacred action surpassing all others; no other action of the Church can equal its efficacy by the same title and to the same degree (Sacrosanctum Concilium, n. 7).”
However, “in order that the liturgy may be able to produce its full effects, it is necessary that the faithful come to it with proper dispositions, that their minds should be attuned to their voices, and that they should cooperate with divine grace lest they receive it in vain. Pastors of souls must … ensure that the faithful take part fully aware of what they are doing, actively engaged in the rite, and enriched by its effects (n. 11).”
Our mini-series will help you to participate more fully and actively in the Mass. While you can attend either session on its own, participation in both is encouraged!
All are welcome!
