Lenten Film Series - Romero, the Story of Archbishop Oscar Romero

Join us at 7:00 pm in the Large Hall as we feature the award winning film Romero: the Story of Archbishop Oscar Romero, produced by Paulist Priest Ellwood Kieser, C.S.P.

 

This film focuses on the spiritual journey of Archbishop Oscar Romero and chronicles his transformation from an apolitical, complacent priest to a committed leader of the Salvadoran people. Acclaimed actor Raul Julia stars as the man of God forced by the unspeakable events going on around him to take a stand – a stand that ultimately leads to his martyrdom on March 24, 1980. “He started a revolution without guns, without an army, without fear. Because one man’s courage can be the most powerful weapon of all.”
