Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before Mass to help clean up the Church pews and vestibule before and after Mass. Kneelers should be up. Make sure the Music Issue books and envelopes have been placed properly in their racks.

As people come into the church, please greet and welcome them.

The gift table to be moved into aisle after the entrance procession gets to the altar. It should be placed on the last diamond closest to the middle break.

If someone becomes ill, call 911 and have the emergency personnel enter by the nearest door. It would be good to be outside the church once you hear the sirens so that you can direct the emergency personnel. It is best to have them go down the side aisle and not the main aisle to minimize disrupting Mass.

Collection—Ushers will collect from the center aisle to help people be more attentive of the necessity of giving. Please wait until the song has begun and take up the collection slowly so that people have time to get their gifts ready. The collection is our main source of financial support. Please allow them time to participate.

The Cross bearer will come down to the gift table and wait for the collection to be completed. Select a family to bring up the gifts of money, bread and wine. Lead them up behind the cross bearer to Father when it is time. The money gifts should come first and then the bread and wine.

Distribute bulletins to people as they leave the church. Please then take some time to tidy up the pews and vestibule. Kneelers should be up. Make sure the Music Issue books and envelopes have been placed properly in their racks.

Minimize the amount of time that the front doors are open when air conditioning or heaters are on. At the end of Mass, do not open the doors until the final song begins.

If there is a second collection for the School, please have the student ushers in place at the end of Communion (by the confessionals for the front half – and at the break for the second half) so that it can begin smoothly when it is announced by the priest.
